Italian Lunch at Fresco

On the last leg of our staycation at Hilton Bandung, we had our lunch at Fresco restaurant, which is located on the 6th floor, just by the pool. The view is soothing to the eyes...I'm only concerned when the pool is crowded (which must be so on weekends).

Without further ado, here's the Italian feast that we had that noon, each of us chose from the handpicked items for Mains and Dessert. But what better way to start a meal by quenching the thirst first...

Main Course

Grilled Sirloin of Wagyu (Australian) - with sauteed spring vegetables, Dauphinoise Potato and Red Wine Demi Glace.

King Prawn Linguini - tossed in pesto tomato concasse, with kalamata olives served with grilled king prawns.

Risotto Arborio - mixed with organic mushroom, vegetable tempura, asparagus, pesto custard and mascarpone cream. This was what I picked and I felt lucky to have picked the jackpot, because of all the other dishes that my friends chose, I liked mine the best. It was not just me, my friends mostly agreed that the risotto was quite a champion among the others. =)

Pan Seared Sea Bass - served on top of baby bokchoy and creamy clam chowder. The pan seared sea bass was also among everyone's top favourite dish.

Pepperoni Pizza - crispy thin Italian pizza with Italian tomato sauce, beef salami, red & green capsicum and mozzarella cheese.

Dessert
Tiramisu - this is not exactly the best one I've ever had. I guess if they had thawed the tiramisu at room temperature for longer, the traces of frozen cream would probably be less noticeable. Although I would never imagine having to store my tiramisu in a freezer, because it'll be gone soon as it sets! hehehe
Cheese Cake Fritters - crispy fried cheese cake served with banana foster flambee and vanilla ice cream.

Warm Chocolate Fondant - served with pistachio ice cream. One thing for sure, Hilton's pastry chefs know how to do fine chocolate fondant cake!

Aaaand...that's a wrap! It had been a certainly lovely lunch with great laughter and finally Chef Somnath (Hilton Chennai) managed to join our group and have a short chat with us.
